An inviting backyard retreat featuring a custom pool, artificial turf, outdoor kitchen, and multiple fire features, all nestled among the property's stunning existing trees.
To provide a perfect entertaining space with a pool, artificial turf, outdoor kitchen, and fire features, all while ensuring no damage to the large, mature trees on the property.
The property had a significant 14” grade change from the back of the house to the back lot line. Limited access to the yard due to the need to protect the existing large trees throughout the project.
- Used smaller equipment to dig the custom pool, prepare foundations for the kitchen and fire pits, and re-grade the backyard without harming the trees.
- Raised the grade from the back of the house to the existing pergola, ensuring the elevated base of the trees remained undisturbed.
- Built a hidden retaining wall under the pergola to support the raised grade for the pool, artificial turf, and patio areas.
- Installed two steps leading down to the shed door to resolve the grade issue at that location.
- Designed and built a complete outdoor kitchen near the patio doors, including a BBQ, two refrigerators, a side burner, a sink, and additional countertop seating.
- Added artificial turf to soften the space and reduce maintenance needs compared to natural grass.
- Installed two fire pits: one at the covered porch and another in the corner of the property, offering distinct entertaining areas.
- Positioned two fire bowls atop pillars at the pool for an elevated and dramatic effect.
- Integrated low-voltage lighting throughout for enhanced ambiance and functionality.

The custom pool serves as the heart of this backyard oasis, surrounded by lush artificial turf, a fully equipped outdoor kitchen, and strategically placed fire features, creating the ultimate entertaining and relaxation space.
