Room with a View
This space was crafted to provide an inviting, calming atmosphere for gatherings. With the addition of a pool, pool house, spa, fire feature, dog run, and kitchen with dining space, the goal was to blend these elements seamlessly into a home.

To design a space for intimate gatherings, complete with a pool, pool house, spa, fire feature, privacy, dog run, and dining area, all while adhering to the modern aesthetic of the home.
- The limited size of the property (40'x58'), which included an existing 25'x16' covered patio.
- Eliminating a support pillar for the covered patio to allow for a central fireplace without compromising the structure.
- The elevation change between the patio doors and concrete balcony allowed us to run gas lines on top of the concrete without cutting into it. These lines were hidden using track material to ensure they remained out of sight.
- We raised the balcony surfaces, including artificial turf with gator base and porcelain tile hardscapes with dimple board and thin-set mortar, to eliminate trip hazards and create a smooth, level surface.
- Artificial turf was used in areas with no plantings, adding softness to the hardscapes.
- To conceal the concrete balcony under the existing glass railings, we applied a pea stone gravel mixture with adhesive. This added a unique element of color and texture to the space while ensuring the gravel adhered to the concrete.
- Hardscape/coping lights were installed under the top rail of the glass railings, subtly lighting the entire length of the balcony and providing necessary illumination in areas where light was otherwise limited.
- Furniture and fire features were added to finish the space, transforming it into a complete entertainment zone.
